32 in. HDTV When To Pick 720p And 1080p

32in. 720p digital tvs are a popular item when it comes to buying a digital TV. It's said that 32 in. TVs and smaller, most people could not tell the difference in the 720p TVs and 1080p TVs. 1080p digital TVs are a much more expensive. I want to add from my personal experience that from 10 feet away looking at all the TVs  could see no real difference between the 40 inch 720p and 1080p. You just pick your options. Younger eyes may notice a difference when the two sets were sitting side by side. So for my own use, when i get my next TV I will go for the 40 inch TV or smaller 720p.
I don't hook my computer to the TV. If you do then high scan rates 120HZ or above and refresh rates of 4 to 6 Ms is more important, and you can download movies cheap these days.  A built in DVD player would be nice as long as it's a Blu- ray(being backward compatible with the DVD's I already have). The Vizio seems to be the most popular model, because of it's lower price. Even if you watch broadcast TV or off-air as it called now, most shows are not HDMI. If you buy a larger TV are you willing to pay the extra $20 a month for HDTV ? But regardless of where the signal comes from, in an average room, say 14/16 720p 40 In. and smaller TVs give a great picture and 37 inch is very good. So while shopping for the 32 below check out each store for a 37 you might catch on sale  . Be sure to consider a wall mount, the good thing about flat panel TVs is you can get them out of the corner and up high in the room moving it closer to you. The best money is spent on extended warranty. These TV's haven't been around long enough for you to trust them to last, the way your old tube tv did, and TV repair men are getting harder to find. Your New Digital TV may need external speakers, Sound the biggest complaint I've read about any flat panel TVs. I like the Sanyo lcd, Samsung lcd, philips lcd, Panasonic lcd, and Sony lcd. But really they all have a good picture, it's the options/price that you make your decision on. All have good user reviews. My best advice is get the extended warranty regardless of the brand. While comparing TVs watch out for Dynamic contrast ratio, the real contrast ratio for the best TV is around 3000 and up to about 4700 for the really expensive models. Some off these TV's have local dimming that is handled with the back lighting, and that's a feature you may consider spending a little more for. I have k-mart,Sears and Wal-mart TVs listed here sometimes you can get the same TV at k-mart for less than at sears. If you decide on a bigger than 37 inch TV, 1080p is the way to go it's more money unless you catch a really good deal.
